Joe Griffin was formerly the CEO of TrueNorth Wealth and the former CEO of Tencap Wealth Coaching, both RIA’s in Utah. Joe holds both firms in high regard and is very proud of the branding, creative concepting, integrity, growth and depth of service that both firms still lead with, today.

With over 16 years of experience as the CEO/President, building and managing financial planning firms, Joe is now proudly leading his own company. Advisor Momentum deploys all that Griffin has learned about taking a firm to a billion + in AUM and locking down client retention.

 Joe has created a team of leaders wildly capable in their own space to help financial advisors and banks grow at astonishing levels. Advisor Momentum was designed to build and elevate each category of an RIA that a team is interested in enhancing and elevating.  

16 years ago, while finishing college, Joe stepped into the role of getting engaged and curious on how to get the phone to ring instead of calling potential clients. By his final year at TrueNorth Wealth, the firm was consistently averaging 32 new client meetings a month while maintaining remarkable client retention numbers.

At Tencap Wealth Coaching Joe’s first 90 days were starting at ground zero streamlining phone systems, building a new website, (writing content everywhere – blogs, website and ads) organizing photography, planning video recordings and creating new internal workflows.

Joes’ leadership philosophy centers on accountability, empowerment, and results. Joe takes pride in fostering a healthy work environment grounded in open, direct, and respectful communication.

Joe’s is delighted to be serving on Banterra Bank’s Executive Council for the Western market, where he collaborates with excellent professionals to advance growth and community impact. He also served for nearly a decade on the investment committee for Utah’s 529 college savings plan (2012–2021), which now oversees more than $27 billion in assets.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Joe serves on the Ouelessebougou Alliance Board, supporting initiatives that improve education, health, and economic opportunity in West Africa. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, boating, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and three children.
